Growing up in a Ghanaian household, African ingredients were part of everyday life. My earliest memories are of my grandmother chewing sugarcane in the heat of Ghana – sweet, refreshing, full of life.
These ingredients weren't trends. They provided nourishment, culture and a sense of home.
Years later, working as a medical doctor, I saw how much everyday food and drink choices shape our long-term wellbeing. So we created Caneju.
